Correction on one point - Accrington Stanley were NOT founders of the football league. That was Accrington FC, who folded before the end of the 19th century.

I think I'm right in saying that when Accrington left the football league (in 1962?) they were replaced by Oxford United. Nothing against Oxford, but just noting the irony that places have been swapped again between the ywo same sides. A fateful connection?
