3 teams go down this season, the premier leagues being reduced to 10 teams next season..

Harps, to put it simply, have been absolutely pathetic recently. We're going down at this rate without question. The team has been embarrassing recently and we were lucky to only lose 4-1 to a Sligo team with 10 fit professional players at the weekend. So yeah..not looking good at the moment!

Finns lost again - this time to bottom place Galway. Things are really starting to look bleak, eh Con?

Yeah its becoming a real disaster now, the team is an embarrassment on the field. The goals we gave away last night were pathetic. Attendance dropped below 1000 for last nights game and basically everyones given up faith in the manager.

I think our game next Friday is on tv, not sure if its Setanta though..

I had a look at the schedule and it's Bohemians vs Shamrock on Thursday/Friday morning that i'll get to see.

Should be good to see the league's benchmark at the moment - hopefully a good indication of the standard of the league.

Did they deserve it? Not really but we didnt exactly deserve a win either. The 2nd half performance was just embarrassing, we were playing a 4-5-1 formation, smallest player on the pitch was our centre forward Conor Gethins so obviously the best thing to do is boot the ball up to his head every time Rolling Eyes Hes our best player but hardly got a touch in the 2nd half and to top it all off the defence fell asleep in the 93rd minute. I was disgusted after the match last night..

Wow it is getting serious for them, no wonder they are so desperate for us to flog Doyle to Villa!

Yeah its their own fault though..or the people who own the clubs fault to be exact. Theyve been handing out ridiculous wages and not bringing in enough to cover the cost. Doesnt take a genius to work out they would eventually run out of money.

You never know! Drogs are having a bad season and Cork are in big trouble. Couple of draws would be nice.

The most important thing is we've opened up a bit of a gap over the bottom 3 now so its in our own hands

Well obviously yeah, we'd hardly do the easy thing and secure our place this month! Has to be left until the last day. Off the top of my head, 5 of the last 7 seasons we've gone into the last game still not knowing our fate. The problem is, other than last season we, usually fail.

another drubbing last night but a depleted side so understandable against Bohs. I'm a bit more optimistic now as we seem to be putting up a fight at last.Bray next match and a point or three essential to keep the gap.

Got banned from the Harps forum for calling the mods power crazy after they locked a thread.I was right in my assessment as they dished out a straight red. Rolling Eyes

Never knew about that...you have got a point though

As for the game, we were always going to lose to Bohs so I was happy with keeping them scoreless for 60 minutes. At least they showed a bit of fight.

As you say, Bray next week is a huge game, a win and we'd be in a great position and it would almost secure our place for next season

Well, I wouldnt say guaranteed yet but a 7 point gap at this stage of the season is obviously great and if we do throw it away we can only blame ourselves really. Cobh and Galway both still have a game in hand so it could be back to 4 points but yeah its a great result away from home & should keep us up
