Cork are really missing a striker now actually, theyre finding it hard to score but luckily they have a good solid defence.
Drogheda have a good defence too but have a better attack than Cork. Their best striker broke his jaw last week and is out for the season but they signed Eamon Zayed from bray, hes an u-21 international and done well recently so they should be ok!

Yeah I support them, were doing great recently. Unbeaten in 12 with 10 wins, the only 2 draws were away from home against the top 2. We were awful at the start of the season and were 3rd from bottom for a while but we've actually managed to fight our way back into the title race and are up to 3rd now so promotion looks like a real possibility!

from outside Letterkenny. you?

things looking good now Very Happy .they cant even beat us when we're two men down.

gotta hand it to higgsy. he's accumulated a very useful, motivated squad.

my pessimisstic foresight sees some team nicking him from us as soon as we go up Sad

Im from Arannmore out in the west, im down in Letterkenny a lot though, go down most weekends

Another great result tonight with Limerick losing, if their result against Wexford stands then we're 3 points clear with a game in hand

And yeah tbh I'd be surprised if we hold onto Higgsy & Gethins past the end of the year, especially if we dont go up

Yeah it can be annoying now with the Friday night games, I cant get down to half as many games as I used to when they were on Saturday.

yet another great win today, Homer with a 95th minute winner Very Happy

we were watching errortel and believed 0-0 was a result.
wasn't unhappy with that as dundalk and cobh had drawn earlier.
radio was still on though and couldn't believe it when he said homer scored with the last kick in 90+5.
Brilliant Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Only 2 points behind Dundalk now, if we manage to keep the run going we'll definitely be heading up.

Got the muckers on Saturday too, we couldnt be in any better shape going into the game

How's your Finn's going, Con?

How many games are left in this season? Is it 5?

I noticed Cork are sitting in second, but Drogs have a pretty handy lead.

Thats the Premier League. Harps are in the first division. Think they might just have recently gone top or sitting second. Not too sure

Yep Harps are top now! 18 wins in our last 21 games with 17 clean sheets & only 4 goals conceded since last May. We ended Cobh's 28 match unbeaten run last week and as long as we keep bettering Cobh & Dundalk's results then we'll be champions. Not bad considering we only won 1 of our first 9 games!

Cork, like Harps are in great form at the moment. If the season was a bit longer they might have caught Drogheda, doubt it they'll do it now though.

Drogheda are practically Champs after a 2 - 0 away win over Shamrock.

Cork could only manage a 1 - 1 away to Bray Wanderers.

2-0 win for Harps against Limerick over the weekend, still 1 point clear with only 4 games left now

Where you at Finn's game last night, Con? I saw the goals and there wasn't much that could be done about the first, well taken freekick - second was a bit sloppy though.

How have you rated your start to the season thus far?

Nah I didnt make it down, I tried to but with it being on a Tuesday I couldnt make it.

Still, it was sickening to lose it so late. I havent seen the highlights yet but they were both quality goals apparently so not much could be done about them. Shame but its happened too often this season.

overall Im not exactly happy about the season so far, we've gone professional for the first time and I expected something a bit better than this. We went 6 games without even scoring a goal until recently. Things have picked up though in the past few weeks, we've been playing some good football and scoring again, 6 in our last 3 games before last night. As long as we pick up points against the other teams near the bottom then we should be ok.

Is it only one team that gets relegated from the first Division, Conal? Or does second last playoff against a Second Division team?

How is Harps chances of staying up? I see Galway won away to lift them off the bottom last night...
