Ideally, we need 4 players with decent qualities to improve the team further. I see us needing 1 striker, 1 defensive mid to replace Cars, 1 wide player (left footed) and a right full back. Without selling anyone of note, I guess we will be well positioned to challenge for another top six finish.
Watching the Euros, Russia seem to possess some really good players. Maybe moyes can look there and bring someone in like Ashavin. They also have a very good defensive mid which we are in need of.... |

What are we doing? Selling the super quick Andy Johnson to fund Bent?
Sell Yakubu and keep Andy. And why do we have no money for transfers? What happened to the £20m we had for tranfers? Who cares about the new stadium if we finish 12th due to lack of investing in our team? We won't come to watch our team get beat week after week. We need new talent. Selling Andy & Arteta is wrong. Buying Bent is wrong. Next season Man United Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool Aston Villa Man City Portsmouth Tottenham Blackburn West Ham Newcastle Everton without buying new talent. Open the purse strings and lets buy some talent this year. The stadium isn't going to be passed this year regardless and can wait until next season. We the fans, demand some new talent. |

Rumours has it that Moyes is interested in FC Twente's Dutch international Orlando Engelaar, a powerful central midfielder.
It is said that Moyes is also keen to bid for Zenit St Petersburg Russian striker Arshavin, 27. If these two signings come true, it will surely signal our intent and will make ppl sit up and take more notice of us. With the club showing such ambitions, it will help attract better and bigger names players to Goodison. |

No news lately, interest seems to have died down..... There are some problems with our new ground and that is affecting the transfer funds and planning. It may take some time to be resolved, so we may not make any signings until that is sorted...... |

Everton linked with David Bentley and Tom Huddlestone............... I would like to see Bentley coming to Goodison but not too sure about Huddlestone tho. We need a proven DM to replace Carsley and Huddlestone is lacking experience. I would prefer a player with proven qualities in a respectable league for the DM role.....

lame one liner? are you really that simple minded? you were banging on about Arshavin going to Everton. i simply replied that he will not go to Everton. you will find posts like that all over the transfers/rumours section but nobody else feels the need to act a dick about it. pull your head out of Moyes' ginger arse and post with a bit of sense |

I don't care what happens in other threads cos they either weren't started by me or has got nothing to do with Everton...... Try reactivating the remainder of your brain (if you have one) so maybe you will have the capacity to post more intelligently. Anyways, this thread is about Everton's transfer news so I would not drag in down to some [beep!] slangng match with a nitwit..... If you have nothing to contribute to the thread subject, bugger off back into the shithole you crawled out from. This will be the last time I am responding to any lame or irrelevant post from you.... peace! |

Appears that Moyes wants argentine international Pablo Aimar who will likely leave relegated Zaragoza. Fantastic signing if we get him..... With Aimar on the left and Arteta on the right, it sure looks exciting for us next season!!!
With him onboard and another couple of signings, we should be ready for another good campaign next season. Top 6 should be likely and hopefully be knocking at the door for 4th! |

unbelievable. i was discussing the topic. Arshavin will not go to Everton. you threw your toys out of your pram like a 6 year old because i stated the obvious and had a mindless, idiotic dig at West Ham like they have anything to do with 'Everton tranfer news'. practice what you preach you f*cking idiot. |

Everton plan a move for French youngster |
|
Everton plan a move for France Under-21 international Sebastian Bassong.
Goodison boss David Moyes has been impressed by the Metz defender, who has a year left on his contract. And Toffees officials have made an approach for Paris-born Bassong, 21, who they could now land for a cut-price £2m, with Metz eager to cash in on him now rather than lose him for nothing later. quoted from the Mirror. Anyone heard of him? Is he really good??? |
