Is the boro dream over? Have we reached the end in this unforgettable journey throughout Europe?

Firstly i'd like to take my hat of to Basle, bloody good side!

Secondly what the hell was McLaren thinking when he selected his team!!?? Ray Parlour and Doriva in the middle???? not exactly the most formiddible of midfields!! Mendieta on the right where its proven he's more effective in the middle! No Yak??? No Morrison??? No Rochembak???

Quarter Finals of the UEFA Cup and he leaves the top striker on the bench.

We were crap for most of the night, we showed some good football but all in all they derserved their win and fair play.

Pogatez out for the rest of the season after mashing up his face BALLS! Mind you if anyone watched it on channel 5 the pitch didnt derseve getting humped when he did it!

Anyway i was down this morning but they have to come to the mighty riverside and hopefully McLaren has his gameplan = ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

Basle are a good side, they beat Man Utd, Liverpool and Celtic a few years ago in the CL. I was impressed again by them last night. They play a good quick passing game, alot like Lyon. The first goal was lucky but Basle probably deserved the result overall

Celtic beat Basel 3-1 at Parkhead, i thought the tie would have been wrapped up over there, but they beat the hoops 2-0.

Boro were unlucky, the first goal was individual brilliance. The second they were caught napping on the counter-attack. With a bit of luck in the second leg, im sure Boro can score atleast two goals and take it into extra time.

Well it's the big night! Just cant wait to get to the Riverside, I'm nervous and excited and it's only bloody 10am!

It's either going to be another marvellous european night or it's going to be a dissapointing end to our European campaign.

Prediction:

3 - 0 Boro, COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!!!!

Yeah I'll be behind Boro tonight! Hope they can pull it off! It will be a good experience for future United players; Downing and Cattermole Razz

Have to give it to McClaren, as much as I didnt like him - he got it spot on tonight. Threw caution to the wind and went all out for goals (Which is what Juve should of done yesterday).

They were amazing tonight - and it goes to show what they are capable of.

Congrats Boro, really well played! They have too concentrate on winning it now, Celtic had a cruelling run in, for the SPL when playing in the UEFA CUP Final.
