I didnt know where else to post this so have put it in this forum....

I think the Transfers forum is being ruined by having so many different club rumours threads
and will put off people from posting on there if a story breaks out if they don't follow a particular club...

Say the unthinkable happened and Rooney left Man Utd after falling out with Fergie and joined Liverpool.....

I belive only Man Utd or Liverpool fans would discuss the story and other fans would stay away......

Its just my opinion at the end of the day but being a West Ham fan I'm not likely to post now on another teams rumours thread......

I could start a West Ham rumours thread but it would only be me and Steely Hill posting on there!.........
PS..No offence meant Mr Hill!!....Theres not enough of us Hammers fans as it is!!

Well the good thing is that when there are countless silly little rumours for one Club - like S P U R S, then you won't have countless silly little threads in there and they're all kept in one.

However the big stories are usually posted separately. If Rooney left Man Utd, you'd hear about I'm sure and more topics would be made of it.

yeah he is right Hams.

in the past there has been seperate individual threads for every rumour and let me tell you it was an absolute disaster!! transfer windows were a no go zone! its better how it is now i think!!

Big stories can still have their own thread, no absolute need to keep it to the teams thread.

But i created the Spurs one a while ago to post all the tidbits i get from Spurs forums and everyone else has copied for their team Wink

It helps for all the little rumours that come to nothing more often than not tho.

Thanks guys...
I understand now that it helps cut down the number of silly stories having different club rumours threads..

As long as there will be seperate ones if there is a big transfer so that we can all discuss it and join in though!

I was one of the first to hear when Flamini left Arsenal to join Ac Milan and started a discusion on it
as I listen to the radio all the time and will do my best to bring any more breaking news if its genuine!!

Yep good work Hams, big stories having their own thread is fine.

We wouldn't need him.

I think the transfer section is good like it is now, as the transfer window is nearing its peak, but i thought it was a little daft having them in April and earlier. It can tend to put people off reading threads as well when there's like 20 pages worth, because no-one's going to read from the start.

I sort of take responsibility for the transfers section and i like it far better as it is now. As Jono said huge news can certainly warrant its own thread, however having a thread for clubs make it a lot simpler and tidier, as you don't have to trawl through dozens and dozens of random rumours like you did before.
