I was wanting Andy to win and i suppose he put up a fight in the end. He needs to work on his attitude though. It stinks. People (me being one of them) believe that Rooney needs to clean up his act but Andy is arguably worse. Do they not fine the players for bad language?

They get warnings then a points deduction in a game then a default , but that rarely happens.

There have been fines for foul language , but it has to be pretty extreme.

Davydenko has lost to Ljubicic in 5 sets and Federer had a very easy outing against Mario Ancic...

Wow, a great perfomance from Ivanovic. Won her 4th round match against Cetkovska 6-0 6-0 in just 56 mins... That girl is doing well and peaking at the right time. Jankovic has also won her match against Radwanska although it was a bit difficult for her...

Anyone know if they're still doing the Roland Garros karaoke in the locker room?

Nadal up 3-0 in the 1st set quick against Verdasco.

She's looking amazing all the time mate... Laughing

But yeah, her Tennis was good today. As I said earlier, she's peaking at the right time IMO and she has a huge chance to win her first grand slam tournament... I'll certainly cheer on her side in the absence of Henin... Very Happy

Federer and Jankovic through.

The biggest shock was grunter ( Sharapova ) going out in three sets to Safina , well done to Safina , I didn't think she would do it.

Well IMO it was not a shock victory. Safina played excellent tennis. Sharapova relied more on her power than on clean tennis shots in that match. She wanted to dictate play all the time and she made many errors out of sheer desperation that she wasn't able to dictate play. Safina took her chances well and played a more defensive game against a desperate Sharapova. I think it became a personal kinda match in the third set for both of them and Safina wanted this match more than her opponent and she did it deservedly...

Also one another good match was the Monfils-Ljubicic match. It was good to watch with Monfils winning in 4 sets to go to the Quarter-finals...

I'm a bit gutted that this tournament has been moved to Eurosport. When it was on sky sports you had a choice of matches to watch. Now all we have is the one they show.

What happened to Sharapova? I've been seeing a few rumblings about it, but haven't been able to get the whole story. Apparently the crowd were booing at her for something? Did she say something bad or complained about something or another? Or were they just booing because of her poor play?

Ivanovic beats Patty Schnyder 6-3 6-2 to enter the Semi-Finals. I think she's the tournament favourite now...

@papa, I didn't read any report of Sharapova getting booed mate and when I watched it Live on TV, I didn't hear any booing specifically on for Sharapova. So could you give me any link as to where its reported. That match was good and both girls played well IMO. Sharapova even had match point when it was 5-3 in the second set, so she certainly played well. But Safina was just too good defensively and she capitulated on Sharapova's apparent frustration of unable to control play. SO when a lot of errors started to creep into to Sharapova's game, Safina just moved in for the Kill. But it was a very very hard fought match with long rallies from the baseline...

It had nowt to do with her play. She disrespected the fans by not acknowledging them or signing autographs afterwards.

Ahhh ok, cause I only caught a glimpse of it on Sportscenter and they were saying something like "Sharapova leave loudly ... " So I figured she might have said something or left the court in a huff or something along those lines after a bad call or something.

I did read this though; The wave, a frenzy of pastel colors and throaty roars, crested right behind Maria Sharapova as she attempted to serve on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

She glared skyward, with an annoyed, sour-as-lemons expression, and stepped off the baseline. Raucous applause overcame the sweeping passions of the spectators and, eventually, order was restored. Sharapova, clearly unsettled, met that silence with a double-fault.

Did the crowd really do a wave while she was attempting to serve? Confused

Both Nadal and Djokovic have won their Quarter-finals matches and they'll face in the semis while the Serbian duo of Ivanovic and Jankovic will also face-off in the semis...

Oh BTW, Happy Birthday to Nadal. He was in scintillating form during his defeat of Almagro beating him in straight sets of 6-1 6-1 6-1. Also he has lost just 25 games to his opponents in the five matches that he has played in the tournament until now... Shocked

I don't know if they did that or not. Maybe they got fed up with all the grunting.

I do know that if you upset the French crowd they go as a pack. It's not a nice experience as Serena Williams and Martina Hingis have found out.

The men's semi is mouth watering then Nadal v Djokovic.

I don't know if Djokovic can stop Nadal though.

I don't mind Sharapova grunting. But the Williams sisters grunting is a bit scary. Laughing

I agree, this will be amazing. Nadal is on fire right now though. He's breezed through to the semi with no issues at all. On his current form he could have made it there on one leg.

Nadal VS Djokovic, always a great match to see. In my opinion Roger and Novak are the ones who can beat the spaniard on clay (if everything's normal), so we'll see...
