Real Madrid are prepared to listen to offers for captain Raul.

The striker is contracted to Real until 2010, but has lost his first team status this season due to injury and form.

While Real would never consider pushing Raul out of the club, if the forward was to ask for a transfer, the board wouldn't stand in his way.

Raul's situation has come into focus as it emerged this week that president Fernando Martin was preparing a major financial shake-up at the club.

I think alot will depend on his form during the WC, if he under performs, then he could be on his way out.

That is wrong. Raul was on MARCA last tuesday, and on a radio programme yesterday, and He has told thousand of times that He will end his career in Real Madrid. Furthermore, Lopez Caro told that Raul will be the basic piece in the team from now to the WC and the president said He's not on sale.
It is almost impossible that Raul goes anywhere.

Torres is a paquete nightclub. Raul is pure class Cool
He's the best and always will be. Villa has a lot to learn, although Villa is better than Torres.

Yeah, Raul is only still playing for Real because of who he is. If Ronaldo was playing like Raul then the fans would want him out right away and Villa and Torres should be at the WC.

Yeah, you wish. Raul is not a center forward like Villa or Torres, however he is the one who scores in the important moments. You say He's past?? Then, who scored the goal against Serbia this year?? Villa or Torres? No, it was Raul. If Raul wasn't playin' for Spain, we wouldn't even qualify for the World Cup. I remind you he's BY FAR the top scorer in Spain and also in Real Madrid, La Liga and Champions League. He's been injured for two months and need to get his shape back.

I remember that goal he scored to Valencia in the Champions final... hmm... Cañete is still looking for the ball. Anyway, Raul is loved in Madrid because He always gives 100% of himself, not like Ronaldo.
And let Villa grow up, He's not gonna be the best for making only a good season. Javi Moreno was the top scorer some years ago in a season and then he disappeared, he's bad!

I know you are passionate with your support for Raul, but he really has done nothing this season. Ofcourse he still has the ammazing ability, but his confidence is rock bottom.

He scored like 10 goals between Liga, Champions and Spain in 15-20 matches. Then he got injured. I think it's a normal thing that when you're injured for 2 months you can't do the same in a while. I think you're being unfair with Raúl.

i dont deny that raul has been a brillent player for both madrid and spain down the yrs but he clearly hasnt been in form for at least 3 yrs now. he looks like a player who needs a new challange. i saw him recently wen he came on against valencia and he was poor to say the least. cassano and ronaldo r more dangerous players now.

I believe Raul is being unfairly treated. He gives 100% of himself since He was 17 (in his debut with the first team of Real). He may not doing his best season but Real supporters won't never stop liking him 'cause He's always fighting for this team and will keep doing it until He can't control his own legs. Most of the players in Real Madrid should learn from Raul because of his courage.

I think Real need people like Raul for the club's character to have any chance of being restored. But having said that, even taking into account his injury problems he does need to rediscover his former consistency. In any case the article isn't saying anything really apart from suggesting that if he wanted to leave they wouldn't stop him, but I doubt he'd want to leave anyway - reads like a no-news story for a slow news day to me.

well said Wink

i'm reading now the book 'Raul, el futuro' that was written in 1996 and tells about his youth & the beginning of his career, before he became such a star. and i have to say one thing - since the very beginning he was just as he's now. he would do anything just to let him play football. some parts are really very moving, i recommend this book to all of u who think that Raul should leave Madrid. i believe he'd be not so far from a mental death if somebody told him to leave the club. yeah, if he had to, he'd do this. but i would never like to see what would be happening inside of him then.

animo Raul, estamos contigo!
