I wouldn't say you out played them, I thought it was quite open.

Also, how flukey were your goals?!

Totally agree with Hoopy....i mean if Reina didn't have an off day then we would have won 3-1,his mistakes made our normally solid defence shaky...

West Ham were brilliant take nothing away from them, both of those two teams deserved to win the cup and the losers can't complain really,Steven Gerrard stepped up and once again showed what he's made of(suffering from cramp too lol)

I watched at a friends house. He just booked out from the army camp and invited me over so there I was.

We shouldn't have risked Alonso from the start. AT 2-2, I really felt we could win it and then came Konchesky's cross, I mean goal.

Was getting really nervous when it was 3-2 with a few mins left. And then Stevie G! What a strike!!!

Reo-Coker's last minute shot really reminded me of Shevchenko there. Just glad to have won it. phew~~!

I honestly thought we'd won it.

one unbelievable strike in stoppage time was the difference.

as soon as that went in I knew we'd lost it.

and memories of England came flooding back after we'd hit the post in extra time and it went to penalties.

we were the better side on the day (even Alan Hansen conceded that) but it just wasn't to be.

although I have to ask what the point was of having the linesman on the goal line for the penalty shootout.

you could see the referee talking to both keepers about not coming off their line before it began, yet all 3 of Reina's saves were way off.

I realise that's probably just me being bitter, but what was the whole point of the pep talk and putting a linesman there if it's not going to be enforced?

yeah thats what i thought too , Reina moved way too soon for each penalty . It happens a lot and the referee should clamp down on it really as it could be the difference between scoring and saving the penalty . West Ham were very unlucky and even Steven Gerrard said they deserved to win , i did not watch the match due to little nephew over for the weekend but i saw glimpses , at supermarket noticed it was 2-0 to West Ham . Arrived home and could not belive it was now 2-2 and after playing in the garden with nephew for a while i heard a big cheer , West Ham must have scored 3-2 now and i thought after checking in the 89th minute that was it for Liverpool . As there were no wild celebrations in the street a few minutes later i had to check again ....3-3 amazing . Surprised Then i knew about 30 mins later as no West Ham fans down our street had come out partying they must have lost . I watched the highlights later and it was a great match ,some terrific goals including the stunning last minute equaliser from Gerrard . West Ham fans will be left wondering if only Harewood had not been injured when that last gasp chance fell to him , maybe they would be celebrating this morning instead of Liverpool . It was also a shame that the match was not at the New Wembley Stadium , what a fantastic first match that would have been for the stadium .

I agree we were a bit fortunate. Who knows what would have happened when early in the second half, Benayoun had a great chance to put themselves up front.

Liverpool 5 - 3 Luton
Liverpool 7 - 0 Birmingham
Liverpool 2 - 1 Portsmouth
Liverpool 1 - 0 Man Utd
Liverpool 2 - 1 Chelsea

Luck or no luck, nobody can say we didn't deserve it! Great cup run Very Happy
