Laughing I doubt it. Fred is back on our side, but your boys are still too strong I feel. Not to mention the Fire have always (for some reason) had DC United's number.

Match between D.C. United and Houston has been postponed. They played 15 minutes but due to the condition of the pitch the match needed to be halted. Very severe thunderstorms ripped through the area all night with sky to ground lightening and heavy wins with possibly tornadoes. It is not known yet when they will play the match. It should be announced later today.

Picture of the pitch after the storms came through.

DC United have also installed a state of the art drainage system since the Washington Nationals left the stadium. So this just shows how much rain actually came down. The news were stating around 3-6 inches of rain depending on particular area fell in about 6 hours last night.

They do, but not capable of handling the amount of rain that fell in such a short period. I almost got stuck in it, got home just before it starting coming down. The rain was literally coming down sideways.

Hey Papa how come the Wizards have been so rubbish the last few weeks?

Has Claudio Lopez been a bad signing or have the team all performed poorly?

The team was just never any good really. But the league is pretty leveled from the top to bottom with a couple clubs that stand out above the rest. But it's easy to play 'well' and still lose in this league.

Sorry Smithy, had to prevent you from grabbing the top spot to yourself. It was a great game. Both teams played well (DC United did play better and had more chances and deserved the win).

It could have been more goals for DC if it wasn't for the Chicago keeper who made at least 3 goal scoring saves in the first half alone. Fred has definitely made a huge difference since he's come off from injury. DC United seem to have finally turned the corner as this was the best I've seen them play all season. The game was riddled with red cards as the match ended with it being 10 on 9. Laughing Two straight red cards and one red card due to two cautions.

This is the first time DC has won in Chicago.
