Defender Ben Thatcher has opted to stick with Manchester City rather than pursue a return to London.
Thatcher, 29, almost moved to Fulham in January as he and his family felt unsettled in the north of England after his house was burgled three times.
But he said: "It was really unpleasant and shook us. The transfer window coincided with the break-ins, but I am not disappointed the move fell through.
"I have three years left on my contract at City and I would like to stay."
Thatcher added that he discussed his future with manager Stuart Pearce when former boss Kevin Keegan resigned.
He added: "When Stuart Pearce took over, he asked me how I felt and I told him that I am happy here."
