Michael Ballack being the captain of Germany has been caught in the crossfire between Poland and Germany. Polish daily Super Express put together a spread showing Leo Beenhakker holding the severed heads of Germany skipper Ballack and coach Joachim Low (haven't found a picture of it yet).

Poland coach Beenhakker was told to 'bring us their heads', which he has described as 'sick'. The two teams play each other on Sunday in Klagenfurt. Let the fireworks begin.

Even if it is against the Germans, it is too far and it is only a football match Rolling Eyes
Looks like it will make the game more interesting though.

It was done by the newspaper. It has nothing to do with Leo Beenhakker. They just used him because he's the manager.

Well obviously I knew the picture was a joke Laughing

I meant Del Piero's post that it could 'start' a big rivalry between Germany & Poland!

If Poland win then a rivalry will most definitely start and you will see angry German fans jumping of the fence.

I don't see why Beenhakker personally apologised to Low and Ballack, not like he was to blame or anything. These things are inevitable with such a deep rivalry like Poland and Germany.

Maybe to propitiate Polish and especially German fans? You know, there's a lot of retarded people out there who could turn violent for stuff like this.
I think it was really irresponsible by the newspaper, considering the already existing rivalry and the fact that those hooligans aren't known for their sense of humor (it wasn't really funny in the first place). Beenhakker's response showed his character and his sense of responsibility so I appreciate his reaction because it can avoid ugly consequences.

Perhaps. Beenhakker is a very respectable man as you say and it probably was intended to cool the situation, i was just saying that i don't feel it was Beenhakker's responsibility to have to apologise.
