Will you still be watching the tournament even if your team isn't competing?
This especially applies to people from the UK and Ireland.

I will be surprised if anyone says they are not gonna be interested in this years competition, just because their team is not in. This tournament only gets played once every four years and i for one can't wait for it to start. Of course i would like England to be playing but atleast we wil not need to go through the pain of getting knocked out. I love football and i could watch any football match, no matter what the level of play is, so just because my team are not gonna play i will still watch nearly every game.

Less than 24 hours now!!! Cool

This is the second biggest tournament in the world - at least quality wise - so definitely everyone will be watching. Luckily my team is competing.

Football is football, I'll watch these big competitions regardless of who's playing and who's not.

England are boring and so are all the other home Nations really. Laughing

I'd rather watch the likes of Croatia and Russia. It should be a good tournament, but usually they're hyped up and you're let down. And there's no joy in watching someone get put out as England ain't there. Sad

You don't have "your team"s at international level, unfortunately. You have your nationality. That is that. There isn't really much choice like there is at club level.

I love the Euro's because they're on at a time that's reasonable for European viewers, so that you can watch every match if you wish (and i wish) - yes, that's a minimum of 2790 minutes of football, virtually two straight days worth - and also the fact that it's arguably a stronger competition than the World Cup... there are very, very few weak sides, only Austria i think this time, who were invited by default, obviously: there are as a result fewer dead certs, which makes life interesting.

The main problem i'm having is choosing who to support in England's absence. It would be Denmark i think but they're not there, so that's a little bit of a non-starter. Maybe i'll go for Romania... i'm used to early failure, even if in this case it'd be expected.

I don't care that we aren't in it. I'm glad. If we were in it, we'd still have that nugget McClaren in charge, and would never have Capello.

i disagree. Wales are never likely to get in but i'll always watch just to support the Arsenal players who play for their countries Smile

Rubbish. If you're a football fan then you'd watch any football of a good standard, such as the euro's. Football is football at the end of the day, and decent competitions like this one are worth watching.

Will you still watch Euro 2008 if your team isn't competing?
