Why hasn't Henry been able to produce his Arsenal form? |
|
From a player who used to score 30 goals each season, surely 20 goals is the minimum, yet he managed a lot less than that. Was it because Rijkaard used him in an awkward position and will he shine once again under the new coach?

Yeah, i reckon like, this is like conclusive proof yeah, that La Liga is, probably most definitely, without doubt, in my opinion but fact, the best league in the world, yeah...

A few reasons.
- He was injured for a period in the campaign and he also came on as a sub a lot of the time. - He was mostly played on the left wing as opposed to being a central striker - It's a different game in La Liga. Henry even came out and stated this. In the EPL, it's direct, you go straight towards goal and do your thing while in La Liga, they build up the attack moving methodically up the pitch and in many times would cause Henry to drift out wide or into the midfield and in turn making him less effective in what he does best. - At Arsenal, everything went through him, that's not the case at Barca. - He might be a great player, but he still has to adjust and get accustomed to the league and the different style of play in the league and with his club. |

I don't know why Barcelona signed him in a first place. They didn't need him, they have players enough up front.

Who'd say no to 30+ goals per season

When you have Eto'o + Messi + Ronaldinho, you have more than 50 goals per season. It's obvious that bringing a 30 goals player won't increase your goal scoring in 30 goals...

I think its obvious. Henry has been played in a wrong position and the whole barcelona wasn't build over him
