The biggest game of the tournament so far, and one of the biggest of the group stages altogether.
A huge match - a win for any side in their opening game is huge, because it then means another win of the remaining two matches will practically see you through, and it would certainly be a huge boost for the winning side. It would be difficult to recover i think. Both sides are struck with injuries also. And Holland are weak in defence while Italy have lost their star defender and Captain. Should make for an interesting game. I'm going to go for 0-0, the Netherlands leading 1-0 for most of it before Italy get an equaliser. |

Italy will absolutely win against an injured Netherlands side - they are the world champs after all. My only worry was Robben & Sneijder mostly Robben testing our new defence, but now he's gone. 2-0 Italy

I see a draw because Italy are slow starters in most competition.
Holland has a lot of firepower and Italy's defence is being rebuilt. 1-1 for me. |
