I abhor Tyldseley. Ronaldo scores - "It had to be him." Why!? He'd been distinctly average throughout the entire match; whenever he got the ball the Czech's just took it off him equally as quick. He did very little. But let's put this into some perspective, he's an almighty suck-up and a tit.

Bang on.

He tends to go all Hollywood on the most simplest of things. Ronaldo was average for most of the game and was outplayed by Grygera on the Wing, then Galasek when he cut inside.

Sionko was a better performer and happened to get the goal, yet there was no fuss about him when he scored. You just have to feel that the Commentators are told to hype up the big names and the star faces with any positive contribution they bring.

Cesc played 30minutes and made an assist and scored a goal. He didn't get any special hype or comments.

Ronaldo scores and assists a goal and is God almighty - it's not that it matters, it's the fact that it's treated like that.

Ronaldo is the core of the attack and Portugal made countless attacks, and countless flopped. Only a few succeeded and Ronaldo is always going to be involved somewhere along the line.

I agree that Ronaldo did well enough at the end of the day. But it's how the media/commentators/pundits talk him up when he contributes like that. If he had of played well and was unstoppable by the Czech defence unit, then fair enough, cream over him all night long. But he was outplayed majorly one-on-one until he got two gifted opportunities to score and set-up a goal near the end.

Sionko is a good example. He hassled Ferreira all game and got in countless times on his own and scored a nice goal. No stand-out credit. He was better than Ronaldo in that game in terms of what he brought individually and what he made of his own play. So when Ronaldo is creamed over, it's annoying. No?

Sionko does great for czechs yet he was a flop for rangers haha Well done to him tho for doing well.

I agree english commentators who talk about him non stop. Just like when they talk about england not being there is annoying. Just put volume down if not like tho.

You know what i was about say that myself ,but that was all he did.Is it a great performance or a good one ,unlike with Man U ,if he wasn't on the team they would have lost the game.Even though he was non existent and quiet most of the time. It's very tough to call, but the commentators get right on my left one when they over react the way they do. Pure sensationalism.

Czech Republic Vs Portugal
