Hard to predict but if France play anything like they did against Romania they have no chance. That said they are a world class team so who knows how they will play.

we Laughing, arn't you french as well Rc?

As FPT said, if they are going to play as they did against Romania, then they can kiss their chances goodbye. They've got to perform better, a lot is expected of France, being World cup finalists and all. I think Holland may win this one, quite convincingly aswell. I'll go for 2-0 to Holland.

I think we will play defensively again and try to hit Holland on the break with Ribery and Henry's pace.
So loads of ball possession for Holland and direct football from us. I think the quality of football will be good.

It's a draw or Holland wins.

France? How can a team win unless they score? Very Happy

Well it will be an interesting match because France needs to win more than Holland does but im sure they will play their boring game at least in first half. This game would be more exciting if Holland scores first. France have a good squad for offensive football but im not sure their coach is aware of it Very Happy

Actually, on doesn't really mean we. It's an indefinite pronoun.
In this case, it would be something like "people say Holland in English".

I think this will be a much more reserved, cagey affair than we saw with the Dutch and the Italians the other day. The French need to make changes coming into this game after their woeful performance against the Romanians of that there is no doubt, and i think we may see the likes of Nasri, Evra etc come in and Henry returning to the lineup in an attempt to add more firepower. They need to create far more in the middle and not leave the strikers isolated, and tighten up somewhat.

The Dutch will be brimming with confidence ahead of this fixture and it will interesting to see what effect that may have on them, whether they will as a result of this continue to play attacking, fearless football or whether they may get somewhat complacent. They need Van Der Vaart, Sneidjer and Kuyt to continue to play well as those attacking Midfielders providing the service for one another and of course for Ruud up top. De Jong and Engelaar will have to be very focused to help the back four nulify the threats of the likes of Ribery and the back four will need to repeat its strength of a few nights ago if the French begin to create. Ooijer, Bouhlarouz aren't the most consistent of defenders so it will be a task, i don't know whether Van Basten will continue with Mathijsen or bring back Heitinga to partner Ooijer or perhaps even substitute the Blackburn man in favour of Heitinga. Selection is crucial.

All things considered I'm going to predict a 1-1 draw.

They can only improve the French after that non performance against Romaina in their first game!!

The key question is will Monsieur Domenech have the courage to change his tactics and drop one
of those holding midfield players so that he can put out a more attacking formation this time?......

I would drop Toulalan as he had a shocking game last time but stick with Makelele in the team.

It should be a fascinating game and the Dutch will still be on a high after their route of Italy before...

I think the French are going to raise their game and will want to show the world there not finished yet....

France 2 v 1 Holland

Yeah, but there was always plenty of control about the French. Just didnt look like conceeding and neither scoring. I guess Domenech has a cunning plan.
