if they are going to blow up for that kind of thing then they need to be consistent. you could argue the romanian was leaning back into Panucci leaving him no option to try and nip round him to win the ball. bodily contact will happen. its unavoidable. just because there is contact it does not mean there was a foul.

I'm sorry, Yessicajax, but it's also too easy to say "poor referee, it's not his fault", when it is HE who makes the decisions. Unfortunately they have no equipment to aid them, and the linesmen are in the same condition. No, I don't believe there is bribery going on this time, but it's just as hard to prove that a referee still it doesn't put the record straight... Thats what football is all about, right and wrong decisions. No1 is perfect. Not even the italian players are perfect. If italian players are perfect some players wouldnt fall very easy. They would be honest players and keep to there feet.
