| What a bloody start. Incredible against the Italians and Fantastic against the French. In Edwin van der Sar they have an outstanding keeper despite his age. The midfield is a class act. The big names of Sneijder and Van der Vaart have everything and we already knew it. The two holding players who are sure to be subject to big moves this year, Engelaar and De Jong. Van Nistelrooy is and always will be a goal scorer. However my big problem is the defence. They maybe experienced but for me lack quality. Andre Ooijer is a steady player but not European Class. The full backs are full of rejects from top English clubs. Van Bronckhorst was outstanding against Italy but he is mistake prone. Boulahrouz had a nightmare at Chelsea and i feel quality players will show him up. I would love to see them win the Euros but i just feel the force of Villa and Torres in the possible semi might just cause a few problems |
If you actually watched the games you would have seen that Boularouz and Van Bronckhorst have been as solid as ever, as well as sparked counter attacks. Two of the best fullbacks so far in the tournament. No offense but please don't support the dutch just because of their victory against the French and the Italians. I am supporting the Dutch but I know they won't win. Its simply because colorful, vibrant football doesn't win tournaments like these, solid football does. I am not as afraid of Spain as of other teams; the Spanish defense has looked shaky. Teams like Portugal will pose a big threat though, like they always do. The problem with the Oranje is that they don't know how to defend and keep it solid, as you would have seen against the French. The score was 2-1 and we put on Van Persie and Robben in the second half, two attacking players. It worked out in the end, but in my eyes taking off Kuyt was a very risky move because he runs back into his own box so much, while I can't really say the same for Van Persie. In the end, I don't care where the Dutch place, I will be a fan for like

Though it would be nice to win.
