By the way, Buffon had a serious mistake yesterday, when Senna shot from a far distance, Gigi couldn't keep the ball and it almost became a goal (it hit the post).

It was to ignite the fans and he calmly took it back after it hit the post, unlike Lehmann. Casillas was just lucky to save the penalties as he just predicted where they were going to shoot rather than looking at the shot.

But hey kudos to him, he is still not the best keeper - by far. The ball didn't go behind the line in the 120 minutes with Buffon, even when it was offside. Did you see that reflex save when it was offside and Guiza shot?

Yeah, Güiza shot to his body, I would have even saved that Laughing

Edit: Okay, Casillas was lucky and Buffon is and always be the best keeper.

Please, please don't tell me you are actually suggesting Buffon deliberately let that shot run under him onto the post?

Thank you for admitting that Buffon is the better man, and yes Buffon is a showman as we all know. He gives back to his fans.

Ok, OK hang on a second. You think that Gigi Buffon, who many recognise as the greatest goalkeeper in the world, deliberately let a 30 yard bullet of a shot that he could not have seen till quite late roll underneath his body onto the post in a European Championship quarter final just to rile the crowd?

That is true, true delusion.

It never nearly became a goal. Buffon left it to hit the post. He saw it was going to hit, if it was going in, he would've stopped it. Anyway, 9 times out 10 the ball wouldn't have spun like that anyway, and no one would've battered an eye lid.

Buffon didn't actually do much wrong. I think the main thing he did wrong, was leaving it to bounce off the post, because it made it look worse that it was.
