He's done miracles with 3 teams so far only international ones (I know of) Australia (2006 q-final), Japan (2002 Semi Final) Russia (2008 S-final until now) and I'd really like to know if he's good at club level.

If he could do such a great job with the Russians then surely he can turn normal clubs into ones competing in Europe yearly (Man. City?).

What do you think of him and can he be successful as a club manager?

Yeah right, well he did a great job with them anyway.

So how about your opinion of him?

He's a brilliant tactician and knows how to play to his strengths. He would surely be a brilliant club manager.

he got to the 2nd round with the aussies and they was knocked out by Italy, if I remember rightly. He seems a good manager and gets good things out of what he has to work with, would he be the same at a multi millionaire club where he is spoilt for choice, like a Chelsea, Man Utd, Barcelona, Real Madrid etc. Would be interesting to see.

Hey Conn, just to address your question, here is a tidbit of news on Hiddink's contract.......Wink

MOSCOW, March 24 (RIA Novosti) - Guus Hiddink, the Russian national soccer team's Dutch trainer, signed a new contract with the Russian Football Union (RFU) on Monday, an RFU spokesman said.

The contract is due to run until 2010. Hiddink will now stay in charge of the national side until at least after that year's World Cup in South Africa.

Hiddink was reported to have signed the contract at 9:00 p.m. Moscow time (18:00 GMT). His previous contract with the RFU was reported to be worth around $2.5 million a year..................
