John Ward told his Carlisle United players not to be too disheartened by their 2-2 draw at Northampton Town.

A last-gasp Cobblers equaliser cost the Cumbrians top spot in League One, but Ward was not too worried by the late concession.

Aberdeen have completed the signing of midfielder Neil MacFarlane on a deal running until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old was on Hearts' books but was able to negotiate the cancellation of his contract at Tynecastle after falling out of the first-team reckoning under Graham Rix.
