Martin welcomes new start

Recent signing Dan Martin is delighted to have been handed a contract at Mansfield Town after being deemed surplus to requirements at Notts County.

The 20-year-old midfielder was disappointed to be released by the Magpies at the end of last season after scoring nine goals in 56 appearances for the club.

Beckett waits for bantams

Huddersfield Town striker Luke Beckett is keen to seal a switch to Bradford City as soon as possible.

The 31-year-old held talks with Bantams boss Stuart McCall last month after the two clubs agreed a fee but is still waiting to hear back from the League Two side.
