Scotland duo miss out

Scotland duo Scott Brown and Alan Hutton have been ruled out of Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier against Georgia due to injury.

Both players starred in Saturday's 3-1 victory against Ukraine but picked up knocks, with Brown having to be replaced in the closing stages of the game by Shaun Maloney.

Riise stunner boosts blues

A last-minute John Arne Riise own goal gave Chelsea a crucial away goal as they secured a 1-1 draw at Liverpool in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Home manager Rafa Benitez opted to pair Jamie Carragher and Martin Skrtel in central defence, with Sami Hyypia left on the bench.
