Sweden coach Lars Lagerback was left to rue the sending-off of defender Teddy Lucic in the 2-0 defeat by Germany in the last 16 of the World Cup.

Lucic was dismissed ten minutes before the interval in the Allianz Arena, with Sweden already 2-0 down as a result of an early double by Lukas Podolski.

Fulham have handed a new two-year contract to Finland defender Toni Kallio, who joined the club on loan in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old, who can play in central defence or at left-back, moved to England from Swiss club Young Boys, but failed to make a first-team appearance for the Cottagers as they avoided relegation from the Premier League.
