Relegated gulls axe lee

Torquay United have dispensed with the services of director of football Colin Lee after Mervyn Benney's appointment as the club's new chairman.

Benney has taken on the role of the Gulls following their relegation to the Conference after former chairman Mike Bateson's decision to resign.

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas would love the opportunity to play with his Spain team-mate David Villa at club level.

The Valencia star, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League, helped Spain beat Russia 4-1 in their Euro 2008 opener on Tuesday by grabbing an impressive hat-trick.
