Stockport boss Jim Gannon has agreed a new deal with the Edgeley Park club.
The former Hatters defender, who led County to League Two safety, will sign a one-year rolling contract that will be reviewed after three years.
Gannon told the club website: "We've agreed in principle the terms of the contract and all the little details.
"It's now just a question of drafting it up and running it by the League Managers Association to ensure everything is in order."
Gannon dramatically revived County's fortunes since taking charge at the end of December but was only under contract until this summer.
