Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic has agreed a four-year contract with Nantes, the French club has revealed. The 28-year-old's contract with German outfit Werder Bremen expired at the end of the 2007/08 season.

Klasnic was on target twice for Slaven Bilic's side at UEFA EURO 2008 before they were eliminated by Turkey on penalties in the quarter-finals. He has scored ten times in 30 appearances for his country.

He had been at Werder since 2001 but played only 16 matches last season, scoring seven times, having undergone a kidney transplant last year. Nantes were recently promoted into the French top flight.

Le feuilleton Marko Basa prend fin. Un temps annoncé du côté du Parc des Princes, le défenseur serbe va s'engager pour les quatre prochaines années avec le Lokomotiv Moscou. L'indemnité de transfert s'élève à 5,5 M €. Basa, auteur d'une très bonne saison sous les couleurs sarthoises, s'envole donc vers le championnat de Russie. Le Mans percevra 30% à la revente du joueur.

Timothée Kolodzieczak à Lyon ? : Claude Puel semble priviégier la carte jeune pour doubler le poste de latéral gauche dont Fabio Grosso est le titulaire. Selon une information de L'Equipe, samedi, l'OL aurait jeté son dévolu sur le jeune (17 ans) Lensois Timothée Kolodzieczak. Déjà reperé par Puel lorsqu'il entraînait Lille, Kolodzieczak, international moins de 18 ans, avait également été supervisé par Manchester United. Comme il n'a pas donné suite à une proposition lensoise de premier contrat, le jeune homme serait libre de s'engager avec le septuple champion de France. Si ce n'est lui, ce sera un international rompu à la Ligue des champions, a prévenu Puel.
