I'd like to know anyone else's true opinions about Arsenal's new winger Alex Hleb.
I personally thinks he's a waste of money and has done very littel to impress. His only good moment this season was a through ball for Fabregas against Juventus that resulted in Henry's goal.

What do you think?

I have to say mate that I disagree. Yes I'll admit I had my doubts when they signed him but over the course of the season I've grown to like him as a player

I would say that although Hleb hasn't fully impressed this season. We have seen glimpses of what he can do and may well burst onto the screen this season with a few good games. Whatever you do say about Alex Hleb you cannot fault his workrate and commitment.

Hleb hasn't impressed me (and nor has Reyes for that matter). But they are young and could improve.

There are too many midfielders in Arsenal who play in the attack. And Hleb is one of them, so it is not easy for new player to understand that you was invited not to play always in the main team, but always struggle with your mates for the place in the rank. As you know, he was one of that players, who determinated the game of Stuttgart last seasons.
So, I hope that he will show you his abilities. And I can say that Alexandr didn't disappointed me in those games which I have seen.

hey boys we hav to try and understand that hleb is not a winger he is naturally a centre mid!! so he is still trying to adapt to the new position and still connecting with pace of the english game! BUT i hav to say this is the season where he will make or break it for me he has to perform this season!!! Wink+

hleb is a waste of time, come on guys did anyone watch the Arsenal - man city macth satday?? he couldnt pass the ball to feet 2yards away. hes a joke, im sorry but were going to struggle this year big time, we need a winner in the middle of the park, we have too many foreigners who sulk!! wheres our gerrard?? our lampard?? our Rooney?? and as for henry being captain, ha. yes its laughable! when will mr wenger realise youth will never win major trophies!!! if we don not get 2 quality players WITH experience in before the transfer window wer going to struggle for a top 6 spot!!! as u can probably tell, im a very frustrated Arsenal fan at the moment!!

Whatever game he naturally plays, today he was positioned on the right wing, but didn't seem to want to play as a winger - drifted into the central positions where there were already enough players.
I thought he'd have been one of the players to be substituted, but he wasn't, so I suppose the boss either sees something in his game that I missed today, or maybe Hleb was playing to orders. Ask Arsene Wink

I've seen him against Dinamo Zagreb this season and i don't know what to think about him.
He covered a lot of groud but got somewhat anxious everytime he got the ball. He felt far more comfortable without it..

Hleb was influential in Arsenals Champions League run last season & defenders just dont feel comfortable when he's on the ball.

Hleb been Arsenal best player this month and certainly worth the money we paid for him. Hleb, Rosicky and Fabregas are linking up great.

wherever hleb has played he has never had a great scoring record, if you look at some of Arsenals previous wingers (pires, overmars, ljungberg of past) they have always bagged well over 10 goals a season. i do not really see hleb producing this amount of goals. He's also very wasteful with his passing i don't know the exact stats but the games i've watched his distribution seems to be poor.

Arsenal fan on Spurs account, tied him up.

No Hleb will never a big scoring midfielder, however add a lot to the team e.g. bhe is a brilliant dribbler and can beat players with ease, one of the most skillful players in the world and hardworking. The chemistry bettwen Rosicky, Hleb and Fabregas is brilliant at the moment.

Before the CL final last season Deco said it wasn't Henry that he was worried about and wasn't Barcelona biggest threat but Hleb was.

no-one notices what hleb does.

he actually runs the most in a game. his work rate is very good. his dribbling is unique. when he reaches around 27-28, he will be really good.
