Manchester United owner Malcolm Glazer has suffered a second stroke and is back in hospital.

The 77-year-old American business tycoon had only just returned home after being released from a specialist clinic in Florida when he suffered a second attack.

Glazer's son Joel has confirmed his father will require weeks of rehabilitation to recover, after spending just a week undergoing treatment for his first stroke.

"Doctors expect my father to return home in the next few weeks," confirmed Joel. "As a result of this stroke, his rehabilitation period will be longer and more challenging.

"Our family appreciates all the support and warm wishes that we have received."

The Glazers insist their father's health problems will not impact on the day-to-day running of United.
