Auckland City qualify for Club World Championship |

Auckland City beat Tahiti's AS Pirae in the Oceania Club World Championship final yesterday with a hattrick from South African Keryn Jordan.
The win is a huge step forward for te New Zealand amateur club as entry to the competition guarantees atleast a $1 million dollar prizemoney payout. Also on offer is the chance to play against some of the top teams and players in the world. Get in there lads!!!!! |

Not a bad game either I have to say (somewhat surprised I must admit). Although I think the second goal had hints of offside from what I saw.
I also lost a tenner to the scouser I was working with on that game too. Not trying to carry on the whole bad loser theme or anything but,,,,,,,,, I saw him give a card early on to one of the AS players for a preety half half sort of challenge, then nothing when another AS player fouled on the same spot 2 mins later with a shocking challenge. That must have been why we were called down to escort the officials for the ceromony and off the field after. |
