Just two years ago Freddy Eastwood was leading the line for then Championship side Southend, banging in the goals and was renowned as the hottest property in the lower leagues. Eastwood was tracked by a number of clubs before making the 1.5m pound move to Wolves a year ago, where it is no secret he went through a serious dip in form, producing just three goals in the thirty nine appearances he made at Molineux. This week Eastwood moved on once more, joining fellow Championship outfit Coventry City for a fee believed to be around 1.2 million pounds. Do you think that Eastwood can resurrect his goalscoring form at Coventy City under the guidance of new boss Chris Coleman? Or do you think this slump will continue at the Ricoh for the Welsh International?

he was always a bit over rated for me personally.

there are better players about, his performance against Man United did him the world of good. the glory probably went to his head. i cant see him reproducing the form he showed previously.

I have to agree, that United game really sky rocketed his reputation beyond his abilities. The pressure really was on when he moved to Wolves to continue that kind of goalscoring form, yet he just did not produce, did not produce big time. His record is not even mediocre at Molineux, just downright poor, which is hard to excuse as there was no adapting to a new league or anything to have to go through. I personally feel as though he will improve certainly upon his form last year from Wolves for new club Coventry, I think he will be hungry to prove himself and Coleman should get better out of him i would expect. However I think his form for Southend will not be replicated.

I have always been a fan of Freddy Eastwood. I know he is overrated a bit but i still believe he can at least get his form back that he showed for Southend. I am glad that he has went to work with Chris Coleman, hopefully he can help him get his form back. I don't really know about the level of Coventry's team but if they can get the service into Freddy, i think he will once again get the goals.

I really wanted Preston to sign Eastwood he is a decent player who scored a fair few goals in a relegation team in Southend. Think he lost his way a bit at Wolves after a decent start.

If Colman can get his confidence back he has a decent player there.

Disco Balls,i think that he just needs a few goals to boost his confidence. He got a good assist in the league cup during the week but he doesnt seem to want to shoot as much as he did.He is still quality and i reckon will score 15+ this season.

I like the way Eastwood plays and for Southend there were never any expectations for him as they were tipped for relegation every season. Perhaps the Wolves move proved to be too much pressure but I think Coventry is about the right level for him but the Championship will probably be his limit.

On reflection, maybe he is one of those players that plays better when he is the main focal point of the team, like he grew to be at Southend.

That is a fair point as he did have to compete with Ebanks-Blake and Keogh but with Coventry there is Morrison and Mifsud so I guess we will see if he has grown as a player.

Mifsud did look like he was going to leave but Coleman says he would like him to stay and is welcome to do so.I think on his best game that Eastwood is better than those 2(though Mifsud can be good)and i reckon his price tag may give him a few more chances than the other 2.If Coleman can get the best out of him, restore his confidence and make him feel like he is a big player for the team then he will do well.Saying that though ive just changed hi in my TFF championship team for Darius Henderson! Wink

Eastwood scored against Barnsley on Saturday, so it look like a good start for him.
