Klinsmann first game |
|
Former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann gained his first success in charge of German double winners Bayern Munich as they thrashed amateur side Lippstadt 7-1. The victory was achieved by the reserve team, as most of the first choice players only resumed training this week.
"It was interesting to see how the players reacted to the first two weeks of training," said Klinsmann, who replaced Ottmar Hitzfeld, now in charge of the Swiss national side, on July 1. Klinsmann's first match was watched by 8,000 spectators in a stadium that had its capacity doubled for the game against the sixth division side, where Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge began his distinguished career. Bayern open the defence of their title against Hamburg on August 15. A good start for jurgen and his men |

Its a bit of a gamble giving him the job considering he has no experience at all at club level. He did a good job with Germany though so it'll be interesting to see how he gets on this season

Bayern just got trashed by Bremen. It finished 2:5. I hope they won't hold that against Klinsmann, he's a good coach. It was however pretty funny when the Bremen fans chanted "Jürgen Klinsmann" like ack in the days when he coached the national team.
