AC Milan have confirmed they will complete the signing of Ronaldinho on Wednesday.

The Rossoneri have announced that they have agreed a fee with Barcelona and terms with the the Brazilian playmaker.

After rejecting overtures from Manchester City, Ronaldinho has agreed a three-year deal with the Milan club, keeping him at the San Siro until 2011.

Milan released a statement on their official website which read: "AC Milan and Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Ronaldinho.

"The player will be in Milan [on Wednesday] to undergo a medical and sign a contract that will keep him at Milan until June 30 2011."

Done deal
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi confirmed that vice-president Adriano Galliani had finalised the deal.

"Galliani phoned me this evening and there has been a handshake," he told Sky Italia.

"I have no reason to doubt it and tomorrow morning the contract will arrive."

And Galliani added: "Tomorrow (Wednesday) Ronaldinho will undergo medical examinations, and once he has completed them he will be a Milan player."

It is believed the final fee for Ronaldinho will be €18.5million (£14.6million) with the player earning an estimated €6.5million (£5.1million) per season.

There ya go then, unlucky City, it was worth a shot.

If he sorts himself there is no reason why he cant be one of the best players in the world again.....a good siging and looking at milan they would be a good bet for a uefa and league double....

With kaka , piro , nesta , zambrotta , ronny , pato they have the basis of a strong side....

Another great attacking player to their side. Ac Milan have just made their squad very strong, if Ronnie can get back on track as torres99 said. Get him back to his best and they'll be laughing.

He needs to concentrate big time I think on regaining top fitness and has to knuckle down and work his b*ollocks off in order to try and return himself to the pinnacle he was at a few years back. It should be a good signing on the face of it, he is a quality player, but it's up to him to make it work for himself.

Yeah good buy if he stays fit. I don't know if he's really the player they were looking for though

Could prove to be a good signing but im not sure if he can ever get back to how he was. I dont think he's really the player they needed either, with Kaka already playing in a similar position they should have used the money to strengthen elsewhere. I suppose it'll keep the fans happy seeing as theres no Champions League for them this season..

I'm surprised he signed for Milan. They aren't even in the Champions League, and have been pathetic in SerieA in recent years, so i thought he would've signed for Chelsea. Assuming Chelsea really did go in for him.

It's a shame he isn't coming to the premier league. I would've liked to see him get fit, buckle down and get back to somewhere near his best. Even at 85% he's still one of the best attacking players around.

AC Milan > Man City

I think they were the only two sides who had agreed bids with Barcelona.

dont worry, we will return back soon

He said he only wanted Milan, nothing else then Milan, so Man city and Chelsea never could have signed him

this is a short video took from the presentation in San Siro, 50.000 fans were at the stadium

I'm not enthusiastic of ronaldinho, but I really appreciated that he wanted only Ac Milan, even in front of a 12M for a year contract proposed from Man city
Now I cant wait until I watch him play , after that I will say if I'm happy

Raul made a good point before..Ronaldinho was crap last season at Barcelona...

Just because he has signed for AC Milan doesnt mean he will be world player of the year again!

I think he will regret not signing for Chelsea who were interested and playing in the premier league
but he has taken the easy option and joined AC in a poor Seria A which has lost its sex appeal........

noo I dont think he will regret i'm pretty sure, and Milan wasnt the easy option as I said,it was THE ONLY option for him
If there is difference between serie A and premier, without considering the stadiums, it is the debts of the teams
with great debts come great responsability
