The president of Barcelona has said that the number of seats of Camp Nou will be increased. In the next 2 or 4 years there will 15,000 new seats and then the capacity will be 115,000. And all the seats will be covered, not like now that a lot of fans get wet when it rains.

Wow, even bigger?
I think it's a bit risky, although I support the idea of covering it.

115,000 Shocked

I dont think its a bad idea. There the top team in the world, will be regulary be playing CL football so i dont see why it wont be sold out during the season.

What is it like getting tickets now? Do many people get rejected as it is or can you just turn up on the day and get tickets easily?

For important games is very difficult to get tickets. In the rest of the games usually you can get tickets.

Good to hear this, a bigger stadium means more fans who can visit the games and more revenue for the club ...and of course it makes home advantage even bigger

Jesus, that's ridiculous. When I went there a few years ago it seemed absolutely massive, although it would be interesting to see what it will look like when it's covered.

I think that Barça should sell Camp Nou and build a bigger stadium out of the city because inside the city there are always problems with the traffic and people that go with car have a lot of problems to park. When Barça had about 100,000 members the capacity of Camp Nou was 120,000 some years ago (not all sat) and when all were sat the capacity was decreased to 98,600. For this reason now that Barça have more than 140,000 members the capacity of the stadium should be 140,000 or 150,000 and for this reason we would need a new stadium.

People could go by metro, even the ones who come from outside Barca could park their car somewhere else in Barcelona and take the metro from there...there are 2 metro stations nearby so that shouldn't be any problem....while if you build a stadium outside of Barcelona :

1. will cost A LOT of additional money (and what can we do with Camp Nou? I'm not sure whether the city wants to buy it, it would be quite an investment for them)
2. then EVERYONE has to travel far, instead of only a part of the fans (as how it is now)...140.000 people coming by car (right now many people come walking or by metro) is bound to cause traffic problems.

So i'd say. expending it is fine but done build a new stadium outside of Barcelona Wink

There are metros that arrive out of the city and there are buses and other trains. Send Camp Nou wouldn't be complicated, this zone is very rich and a lot of building companies would like to build flats in this zone. And wouldn't cost money, would be cheaper than the money that Barça would earn thanks to Camp Nou.

Still more difficult to go there for most fans...in the middle of Barcelona is much easier (shorter distance) Wink

In terms of money you could be right, despite building a bigger stadium we would place it on a cheaper ground...the price of the ground in Barcelona is sky high, could get us a really good price indeed
