Stats would suggest Keane is better than Tevez and Rooney, but there really isn't a lot in it, so i could understand you think they are better than him. But Torres i can not understand.
Not only did he completely outshine them last season, but he also has a far more complete and deadly game. He has more pace, equal strength, more height and heading ability, he's better at beating defenders, an equally as admirable work rate, better positioning, more intelligent, and now, though a year ago i thought i would never say this - better finishing. But that's just my opinion. No doubt youdisagree with most of that. Torres wasn't too far behind the combined goal tally of Rooney and Tevez combined, wasn't he? |

Without doubt Torres is a very talented player and his goal scoring record last season speaks for itself. But you are correct, I believe both Rooney and Tevez offer far more than Torres does to overall team play. Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo ARE the combined reason why United have such a fluid and potent attack, and they ALL have the ability to play from deep and in front of goal and interchange seamlessly. Keane will also bring that to the Liverpool attack this coming season.......I just believe he isn't in the same class as our three players. Torres had a very poor Euro 2008 in comparison to his league form. You should hope he doesn't carry his Euro 2008 form into this seasons league campaign. |

If I'm worth 100k in the footballing world then he is worth 30 millions. Because we've all seen how he has taken the EPL by storm scoring.. umm 14??... He is better than Rooney but not worth 30.

I fail to see anything that could possibly set Rooney a class above Keane. Other than promise, which means nothing until it's fulfilled.
If anything, attributes and stats would indicate Keane is a class above Rooney. Of course, media hype would lead you to believe something completely different. But i'm sure Tottenham fans would have a truer understanding of how the two compare. As for Tevez, it's really hard to assess his level. In his first season he was barely used for the first half, foolishly ignored. However, when he was given the chance in the second half, he was stunning, and helped save West Ham from near certain relegation. But you can't accurately gauge his level from that season as a whole. Then there was last season, where he, being the loan boy, had to play second fiddle, which was never going to bring the best out of him. Yet he still managed to have a greater impact than the man directly in front of him. |

You are off topic. This is my last comment on your post. Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo is the reason why Manchester United have such a potent attacking front line......and last season they scored over 70 goals between them....no other team can match that. |

Roonanialdo was that a touch of anger and venom from the usually cool calm and relaxed one..................
I dont think we are taking shiteeee as a collective we feel are player is better than your's , it is only an opinion but a vastly agreed upon one that torres is more effective than rooney , now when the season ends we will discuss who has had the more productive season between the two latter players.... Finally i will not dilude myself and state liverpool will win the league but i will not sit on the fence either.... |

Carlos Tevez is an asbolutely phenomenol talent. to have seen him in the flesh in the colours of west ham united is something that i regard as a privilege. to appreciate his work rate and ability you have to watch his whole game. highlights do him no justice. there were a number of games where i just sat in the stands and watched him rather than the game itself. his movement, his runs, his touches, his control, his work rate. i was astounded. he is a class above Rooney in my opinion and always will be. he is more skillful, more powerful, more intelligent and more creative. of course that is my opinion.
whether he is worth that amount of money is up for debate because who is really worth that amount? then again, if thats what it would take to keep him then he is worth it. i can guarantee you now that if Tevez played for Sticky's team, (either of them) he would see the player for what he is. its very rare i like a player as much as i like Tevez, maybe because ive seen much more of him than players outside of England but he is an amazing player who will never be truly appreciated by anybody other than fans of his club at that time. people will acknowledge his talent but nobody will follow the man enough to see just what he has to offer. he could fit into any club in the world. |

theres no doubt he is a good player but who is worth 35 million?
zidane cost more than that i think i think messi is worth that kind of money kaka maybe ronaldo from united a bit more maybe i dont think tevez is in the league of these world beaters hes very good but not 35 million good IMHO |

Torres, Gerrard, Kuyt and Babel, Liverpool's "front line", scored 75 goals between them. |

Gerrard is not an attacker and he is not in the front line and those are 4 players, so... your point is?
PS: Ronaldo scored over 50% the rest of the players you mentioned are shiat, they are completely useless. |
Erm didn't Gerrard play upfront with Torres for Liverpool last season and score 20 odd goals? I may be biased as Tevez saved West Ham from relegation in 2007 single handedly and will always be welcome at Upton Park the rest of his life but if Man Utd have the money they should spend it on him. |

By the same token Del Piero, Ronaldo is not either - if you're going to be pedantic about positions, he is a right-winger. Gerrard, like Ronaldo was with United, is a part of our attacking line. |

Even using your top four goal scorers (75 goals) you still fall short of our top three (79 goals) and your top three ONLY scored 65 goals between them, which confirms my original point that no-one could match our top 3......once again Liverpool are way off the pace. |

Considering we scored more goals than you last season, all that suggests is that your main source of goals were concentrated into a fewer individuals (the 3 you mentioned) than at Liverpool.
That's not a good thing. It's much better to have your goals spread around. Liverpool were the only team to have 6 players on double figures last season. Beat that. |
Because you scored loads against terrible sides in cup games. Such as the 5 against Toulouse in a cup round we weren't even entered in or the 8 against Besiktas. You cannot honestly think you are better going forward than we are.
We scored 80 in the league to your 67 and conceded 22 to your 28. That is the fairest measure as we all played the same teams and the same number of games. |
Didn't you play Cardiff City?
What was stopping you banging in 8 against them? Please don't dismiss our 8-0 victory over Besiktas as nothing. However bad you say they are, they were in the champions league, like many teams of that standard every season. Yet no team has been beaten as badly as they were. They weren't just a terrible team that were only ever going to get a a battering. They actually beat us in the first game! There are many worse teams that play each year in the CL that don't get beaten so badly, so please give us some credit. They are better than Derby! A team you hardly demolished in your league encounters. |
