Big Phil Scolari, Chelsea's new Brazilian manager, believes he has the squad at his disposal to win all four trophies this season. With and endless amount of financial backing and an array of superstars that most managers could only dream of, can he turn this team of superstars into a superstar team (if not one already in your eyes) to be remembered for the ages during the 08/09 season?

Chelsea failed to win a trophy last season - with the additions of Deco and Bosingwa, can they overcome the pressure, and the small matter of Manchester United, to take a strangehold on England and Europe and conquer all in front of them?

There is no reason why Chelsea can not achieve all four titles. They certainly have the first 11 for it and their strength in depth is outstanding. They had a bad start last season but if they get out of the blocks well under the new leadership of a world class manager i certainly think they will be the ones to beat this season. they are my tip for the title.

I can't see them doing it. Not the way Liverpool are enhancing their squad with quality players. I expect Liverpool to be the team to beat this season.

Laughing really?! I am shocked Roon! I dont think any Liverpool fans are as confident as you. Why do you believe Liverpool can be a force? How do you mean with the way we ar enhancing our squad? you must be a fan of the massive signing of Degen.

You have one or two Wink You need to show a little faith in Rafa and your team.

so did Man Utd, 2 points from their first 3 games if i remember rightly
so this cannot be used as an excuse for their lack of trophies IMO

and in terms of who will be there and thereabouts at the end of the season, i believe that it will be the same as every year:
Chelsea and Man Utd battling it out, with Liverpool and Arsenal slipping away throughout the season.

i guess we can only wait and see Very Happy

I can see it happening one day certainly, and it will certainly be an achievement. I dout it will happen this season personally though, but the way the rich continue to get richer and add to their squads and pile expensive quality on expensive quality, i think its only a matter of time.

They have the players, had the coach but need to milk more money out of Abra to pay their stars (Lampard is old, they should've let him go)

without the dignified Mr Grant they are nothing.

two cup finals and losing the league on the final day. will Felipe match that? Nope.

of course he wants all four. who doesn't?

i think this season could be his best yet. I expect BIG things from fat frank this season. He is certainly not past it! His partnership with either Ballack or Deco will be instramental to Chelsea i reckon this season.

I think that all four is out of reach for any team because all that you need is one bit of bad luck or a mistake and you can kiss the 'quad'goodbye.
We will have a great chance of the league although I think it will be between us and united again. Smile

I think they are better equipped at this moment than nay team in the premiership to do so. Man u will have too many behind the scenes problems to deal . If Arsenal buy two more defenders i will give them the edge to take the most silverware.

Chelsea's depth is fantastic ,but Barcelona are looking a better side even though they have lost the best Footballer on the planet. Chelsea do loose one immense player in Makelele and only if they play Essien in his role do is see them stomping through the comp. With Essien's engine he could play more like Vieira and run at the defense when no one's open. That would make Chelsea incredibly tough to play against.

Scolari is a player on the international football scene no doubt. I'm really keen to see how he is going 10 games into the season.
