That is a good idea Twm, if you want to get Women going to watch (and the odd man or two.)

Personally I would prefer to see naked women than men.

Mr Rooney isn't my type

Onto the topic of wages I really feel for the girls it's a shame the womens game can't have more funding as it wouldn't probably take a lot to invest for it really to come off.

Not like the FA will listen to you, but where do you suggest they take funding from, in order to divert into the womens game?

Or is there anyway you can come up with any ideas to increase funding, without the FA?
(see my naked women vs world XI, for the geneal idea)
Looks like if the girls rely on them, they will be waiting a long time.

I have no idea how funding works from the fa but a reasonably small amount of money in the scheme of the mens game would help.

I also think the female clubs could help a little bit by selling merchandise I know Arsenal ladies have individual photos they could sell them signed for example.

Stupid written comments like this don't help the girls , and yes it was written by a man Rolling Eyes

The England women's team are miffed they only got a £40 a day during the World Cup in China.
One of my sons represents England at Tae Kwon-Do but every international tournament has to be paid for by his parents or through fundraising - that's the same for thousands involved in minority sports across the UK.
Girls , until you fill Wembley , think yourselves lucky the FA pump in £4.5 million a year to promote your VERY amateur pastime

Amateur pastime/minority sport?

Yes, can see how it compares with Tae Kwon-Do.

Sounds like hes peed off with paying for his kid and directing the anger onto women.

Dunno about filling Wembley, but they could sure fill stadiums in China. Not exactly the same, I know.

Just wondering - when have 25,000 or so watched Tae Kwon-Do in UK, as the number that went to last season's Women's FA Cup final.

Or the few thousand that went to watch England international teal play at Walsall a couple of weeks ago.

I don't expect a lot at Shrewsbury due to the timing - 7pm on a Sunday evening against Spain, but I bet it will be more than any Tae Kwon-Do event in UK.

Question: Why does almost every woman on the Iceland national team have a last name ending with -dóttir?

Everyone in Iceland take their father's name - men followed by sson (I think) and females followed by dóttir.

So, if I was Icelandic, and my father was called, say, Fred, I would be called Twmcat Fredsson, and if I was female, I'd be Twmcat Fredsdóttir.

My spellings may not be quite right.

Depends who I married - my new wife might be Kelly Fredsdóttir, and her name would stay as that (I think)
Our multitude of kids would have the names like Bluey Twmcatsson, Rachel Twmcatsdóttir etc )

I'm getting really fed up of the womens game, someone posted something incorrect about me on facebook which I think is having repercussions and the way fixtures change it makes it impossible to plan things. Sad

The clubs do need to sort something out on fixture postponements because it isn't fair to the fans that have to travel or take time off work.

I don't know what's been written about you Byrnefan but try not to let it get you down.
