At the City of Manchester Stadium

West Ham won their first game, while City gave up 4 goals and have no experienced Strikers to call on.

Predicting a 1-1 draw here.

Johnson and Ferdinand the goals.

Ferdinand wont play mate.

if Ashton plays i think we have a very good chance of a win. if he does not then a 0-0 is quite likely. i think this is a highly unpredicatble game because both have the potential for good fluid attacking football but both have a tendancy to self destruct.

i am going to stick my neck out and go for a 0-1 win for west ham. i dont think it will be one for the neutrals at all.

I'm going for 2-1 to Manchester City.

Did Elano Blumer play last weekend, or will he play this weekend? He was exceptional last season.

Also question for Steely, will Sears and Tomkins recieve game time against Manchester City? Tomkins looked solid against Everton last season, so did Sears when he came on in that game, hitting the post within a few minutes of play, but also during other games he played, he seemed to give the Hammers a real lift in quality of play, and a bit of confidence.

I hope you don't have the full choice then Laughing

I love watching youngsters being given the opportunity to be apart of the starting XI or getting game time from the substitutes bench in the first team. Makes me wonder where they'll be in their careers in say 1. 2 or 5 years time.

they will be used sparingly this season.

sears will probably get a few run outs, as a sub mainly.

yeah its great to see the youngsters play but by the same token people want instant success. people do not allow youngsters the inevitable mistakes and slipped results that their inclusion may bring. towards the end of the season, depending on our situation, we may see more of them again.

I agree, I think with Man City's poor form at the moment but being at home could result in a draw. I am going to go with a 1-1 draw or possibly Man City scraping it with a late goal in a 1-0 win.

Man City were brilliant at home last year. 1-0 to City.

Yeah, I think this will be a highly unpredicatble game . Ashton is on excellent form, but he goes up against one of the best defences in the league. Difficult.

Is Richards back for City?

Manchester City's chairman has asked owner Frank Sinatra to resign and not attend Sunday's game....

I think all this off pitch drama will upset the home teams preperations on the pitch and their players wont be focused..

West Ham have a good record away at Man city and I think we will be up for this game and looking for all three points.

Man City 0-1 West Ham

Noble is a complete brainless idiot! He has just got himself sent off with 2 yellows. 1st for a deliberate handball and then a bad tackle few minutes later. Could have cost his team some points here. If I was Curbs I would be fuming with him.

I agree with you Benraul...Mark Noble is an fool and has let down his team mates big time and fans.

The ref had no choice but to send him off and I don't blame him.....

I don't know how Man City have not gone in at half time without taking the lead!!.....

Will they be able to make their numerical advantage count or can the Hammers hold out?

I fear the worst after our pathetic first half display....Not even one attempt at City's goal......

Half time 0-0
