Chelsea captain John Terry has taunted rivals Arsenal by claiming selling inspirational midfielder Patrick Vieira has seriously damaged their chances of wresting the Premiership title from the Blues

Vieira's 13.7million move to Juventus last month has left a huge hole in the Gunners' midfield and Terry believes the loss of their captain will have a significant impact this season.

"Patrick is a world-class player. He is obviously going to be a big miss. If you took one of our midfielders out of the team that would be the same," said Terry.

"I can't imagine our team without Frank Lampard in it. I really don't know what would happen.

"Arsene Wenger has some great players and has some young players who can maybe step into the hole and maybe be as good as him one day.

"But, initially, I think they will really miss Vieira."

well he is right , we are going to miss Vierra as he was such an important player in our team. But we have to trust Wenger with his decision and hope we can cope with the players we have now.
