i used to remember a time when it was a sunday afternoon and we (family) used to sit down in the living room and have a game of something like Monopoly or Scrabble . I wondered if any of you still play board games and if so what ones and who with and anything else that seems relevant .

What You need - A Monopoly Board, 3 - 6 Humans, A few bottles of Vodka? Barcardi? Whiskey? Gin? whatever spirit takes your fancy

Normal rules apply and everything is the same apart from - a few extra rules....

When you land on someones property you take - 1 shot,

when you land on someones property with a house on it you take - 2 shots

When you land on someones hotel you take - yep you guessed 3 shots!

When you land on the sent to jail square you also take a shot

It gets very very amusing shall we say!

Sometimes play Scrabble ( bad words allowed) or Trivial Pursuit with my mates after a few drinks .
Monopoly is a good one too.

I like Risk, thats a great game.

Ive got a drinking Chess set too, every piece is a shot glass filled with tequila and if it gets taken off the board you do the shot! Great game.

Also Scrabble with dirty words being scored double.

what a great idea , chess with shot glasses . The only trouble is i`m not that good , but hey at least i would be happy in a short time . :)

But do you only get to drink from the "pieces" you win? I would be sober for most of the game then, until my opponent had so much they lost the plot - then it would be catch up time :D

If someone eliminates your peice from the board then you have to do the shot. Its great cos after a few, people start making really stupid moves and hence have to frink more!

In that case BJ, the game wouldn't last long - I'd make sure I lost a few pieces early, on, and after that wouldn't be able to stop losing more :D
My opponent wouldn't be p***ed though - just p***ed off :)

Haha, yea depending on what you fill the shot glasses with it can get very messy very fast.
