Fulham locked in Helguson talks |

Fulham are holding talks with Watford striker Heidar Helguson over personal terms, with the Icelandic international close to a move to Craven Cottage.
BBC Sport understands Watford and Fulham held talks over the 27-year-old striker's transfer on Wednesday. Watford had previously accepted a £1.1m bid for Helguson from Sunderland, with another £250,000 to be paid if the Black Cats avoided relegation. Helguson, who scored 20 goals last season, cost Watford £1.5m in 2000. Wigan have also made a bid for Helguson, who was also interesting Leeds United, Sheffield United and West Ham. Helguson scored four goals in the last five matches as Watford avoided relegation to League One. He has already turned down the offer of a new contract from Watford. |
