In the final part of the game, it was just a mind game. Steaua was afraid of an indigo scene(that Boro-Basel match). Boro diserved the victory, but steaua diserved it too. Congrats for the victory, mates! it was a very intresting match. Good luck in the finals! p.s:i'm a steaua fan.

Well both teams cant deserve it. Apparently theres no way Boro could win against the might of Steaua in an away game. Peeps on this thread warned that the Riverside is a fortress where dreams happen. Amazing game , the phone just has not stopped ringing, i`ve had loads of texts off my brother but he must be p***** cos i can`t work them out. I can not believe what we just seen, when the fourth goal went in i nearly passed out, my son ( he`s thirteen) had to go out side for the last four minutes poor lad. I thought Boro were brilliant after they conceded the first two goals , started very poor, but the rest as they say is history. Fantastic bloody fantastic

Hey, mates! Do u know what was the reaction of romanian fans after this match? Their reaction was: [beep!] steaua! steaua sucks! carlos sucks! I was watching my offline messages in YM and all i've seen were F words. This is how a roumanian fan encourage his team. The most "cool" fans are those from rapid bucharest wich encouranged their team even after that missed qualification with their rival team, steaua. p.s.: steaua won the CL trophee. that's a performance Boro will never achieve.

I cannot believe it. I turned the football off after 50 mins thinking that it was now a walk in the park for Steaua, and what do you know, Boro did it again. Im so p!ssed off that I didnt want it. Naive I was......nevermind though. Well done Boro, and Maccarone must be a GOD at the moment lol.
I do hope that the Steaua fans that signed up to talk about the game in the right manner will stick around and become part of the community. |

Boys, Girls, Ladies, Gentleman what happened last night is undescribable, i still cant wipe the smile of my face, my heart is still beating like never before, and i'm still shaking!
Basle match was a special once in a lifetime match, last night was just unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable! Half time i was saying lightening can't strike twice surely, 45 mins to score 3 goals against a very very good team, this wasnt Basle this was Steaua Bucharest and they looked a class act. i said at half time of the Basle match - we need a miracle, a miracle happened, i said the same thing at half time last night - and it happened again! The Riverside last night was spectacular, complete sell out 35,000 fans and the noise was incredible, every single one of us was screaming our hearts out, i have no voice this morning! Massimo Maccarone deserves a statue! worth every single penny of his 8.15mil transfer fee, absolute bargain!! I have never seen or experienced anything close to what happened in that stadium, pandemonium. I just cried my heart out, i was crying so bad with joy and happiness, the tears were streaming down my face. We bloody do it the hard way, but we prevailed, we conquered and now I'M GOING TO EINDHOVEN!!!! 10TH MAY CANT WAIT!!!!! i love the boro, no matter what happens i love the boro more than anything else till i die! following the boro for the last 11 year has been a rollercoaster, i've been there seen it all, i cired in elland road when we got relegated, i cried in Wembly 3 times, i cried at hillsborough in the league cup final replay against leicester, and now last night has proved everything has been worth it. 20 years ago the club went bust and started from scratch, now look at us, in the UEFA Cup final! WE'RE JUST A SMALL TOWN IN EUROPE!!!!!! Fairytale stuff |

Maby now some of the 'part time' believers will get to more games and fill out the fortress more often, makes a BIG diff?!! As for ur cryin m8, no probs. I need to see the game again, i missed the last 6mins coz i couldnt see the screen through tears!!!!! Just got my voice back, screamin at the ref mostly in the first half, seemed like we never got a decision our way. Second half its pretty self explanitory. Im a tad miffed my kids missed it though, (wife would not let them in the room i was in such a state). if anyone has a DVD recording, id appreciate a copy.
