Well Done to Agent Smith on winning the FA cup with Arsenal!

She isnt a bad player, and it was a well taken penalty. It was Unlucky when she hit the post but it was a convincing 5 - 0 win.

Im not up with womens football, Are Arsenal like the real Arsenal of women's football? And are Leeds like the womans version of the real Leeds? If you know what I mean.

Laughing She is England's best player, so yes, i guess she isn't bad!! Wink

You mean are Arsenal Ladies in anyway linked to Arsenal FC, yes they are, the ladies get some financial backing from the mens side which is more than what most ladies sides get, so in answer to your question yes they are the 'real' Arsenal fo women's football!! Leeds are the official ladies team to Leeds FC, not too sure whether they get financial backing from Leeds FC, don't think they get a lot but might get some!!

Hello Just Smile

I didnt mean it in that way, I meant it as in Reading are the Chelsea of the coca-cola league, are Arsenal ladies near the top of their league? And are Leeds ladies near the bottom or lower division(If there is one)

ah ok! Blonde easily confused Wink !! Well Arsenal pretty much dominated the womens premier league, they went all season unbeaten, which kind of tells it how it is!! Cool
Leeds aren't that bad, they are in the womens premier league, which is the highest you can get in womens football in england!
So Arsenal ladies are like Chelsea fc and leeds i guess are a bit like Arsenal or Tottenham fc around that area in the table but aren't too dominate, but are kind of getting there!

haha, I'd say Leeds are more like Blackburn/Bolton; score some nice goals & throw up a few results

It seems to me like Arsenal Ladies are kinda like Lyon in France, just too good for everyone they play against.

And people say the Premiership is a onehorse race! Confused

well i just got back from the Arsenal Ladies win in the Fa Cup Final at Millwall . It was a completely one sided match really and the 5-0 scoreline was proof of the Arsenal Ladies superiority over the Leeds Ladies. It was only 3 mins old when Lucy Ward headed into her own net under pressure from the Arsenal ladies and Julie Fleeting then made it 2-0 after a nice pass from Lianne Sanderson . Rachel Yankey then scored direct from a free kick to make it 3-0 before half time , it did look as if she was intending a cross with the ball though . Although the Leeds Ladies tried their very best you could sense that it was unlikely they would score . It was left to Gemma Fay in the Leeds Ladies goal to try and keep the score down , that she did with a great parry away from a Rachel Yankey shot and also a close range effort by Julia Fleeting was stopped . When she was beaten by Kelly Smith , the England International saw her shot hit the post unluckily . However , Kelly Smith got her goal when Rachel Yankey was fouled in the box and the number 8 cooly slotted home the penalty. The last word went to Lianne Sanderson in th 77th minute who went on a great solo run and finished off by shooting through the legs of Gemma Fay to leave the unlucky goalie to pick the ball out of the net for the fifth time that afternoon . Not bad for my first Arsenal Ladies match . Smile Cool

yeah the atmosphere was ok , mainly Arsenal chanting , drums and whistles ...etc. A record 13.000 crowd apparently for a Womens Cup Final . Yes i will be going to more matches , cheaper and easier to get tickets than the mens team thats for sure . Smile

Thank you for your comments mate Very Happy
You do realise that Agent Smith is not Kelly Smith though I hope Wink
Kelly was brilliant as always, but so was the whole team
and we truly deserved to win the trophy Very Happy

Please continue discussion in the FA Cup thread though. Thank you Cool
