AC Milan defender Nesta wants Lazio return

The agent of AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta has declared he will return to former club Lazio to finish his career.

"The return to the Biancoceleste for Nesta is more than a simple rumour," said Vincenzo Morabito. "We are convinced that perhaps in two years or so this operation can happen so he can close his career in Rome.

"In this way, Lazio could return to fight for the great titles after three years of suffering before Lotito became president."

This is excellent news for Lazio fans, he is 30 now and easily the best Italian central defender, so maybe by the time he returns to Lazio he will still only be 33.

Slightly worrying for Milan fans though, he was one of the younger defenders.

Well there has been alot of speculation linking them with younger guys too. I think they realise that the current backline cannot continue on much longer.
