Torquay resign pair

Torquay's close-season has started well after they signed Stephen Reed and agreed a new contract with Steve Woods.
Defender Reed, who was released by Yeovil this week, was on loan with the Gulls for the final two months of the season and has signed a one-year deal.

Fellow defender Woods, who will sign his contract on Monday, has been at Plainmoor for five years.

Chairman Mike Bateson told the club website: "The message is out that we're serious about having a decent 2006/07."
