Fiorentina have completed the permanent signing of Sebastien Frey.
The Viola have paid Parma €5 million (£4 million) to secure the Frenchman's signature.
Frey joined Fiorentina last summer on a season-long loan and impressed before picking up a serious knee injury.
The 26-year-old has signed a five-year deal at the Artemio Franchi and he was delighted to stay with the club.
"I was really sorry for the injury suffered in the middle of the season," said Frey.
"Anyway here in Florence there has immediately been a fantastic environment."
