I have voted!
And it had to be Kelly Smith Very Happy
Was tempted to vote for Karen Carney cos she can look amazing and is a mini Rooney I reckon. Nxt year I think shes gonna get even better and I'll prob vote for her then.
BUT after going to my first england women's game (v Austria) Smith looks even better than on the tv, her attitude, balanced agression, commitment, and ability is amazing, no wonder there are so many Kelly Smith fans!

The Awards are on Friday, so who do you think will win the awards.

Lianne Sanderson will win young player.

What about England Player?

Well, she didn't and how could she have done that anyway
if she made her debut in the senior squad last Thursday against Hungary?
Unless the U-19 were also nominated (?) which I doubt.

Young Player of the Year is exactly what it says it is, is not Young England Player of the Year.

Its not about how many times you have played for England but what you have done for your club (and if you make it in the England senior squad I guess thats a bonus), through out the season.

That's a bit confusing as the FA site clearly stated before we could vote
that we should not think of what the players do for their club,
only for the country.

Nevermind, the winners have been announced. Well done Smile

I see what your saying but basically their are three awards.

The England player award that we got to vote for, and then player of the season and young player of the season.

I'm more confused now than I was before Laughing

There seem to be more than 3 awards - I listed them all above.

Maybe we're talking about different awards lvblue? Wink

Now there are only three awards for the players, and then the top goalscorer awards. The other awards go to clubs/media.special achivement.

Hahahaha Laughing

Have the awarded players & coaches had a similar party
to the one that Finland had after they got through to the Euro 2005 semi finals? Twisted Evil

Any pics from that event if it occured? Laughing

Vote for the England Player of the Year!
