Wenger delayed far to long in replacing Tony Adams and we paid the price. Then he cocked up the David Seaman retirement and we are still paying.I long to see a decent goalkeeper in Arsenal colours who doesnt stay glued to his goalline.

Welcome to the forum, and I think this is the feeling shared by most Arsenal fans. Us United fans however are hoping for a crises at highbury Smile

I see your South African? Make a post in the newcomer section mate, and also fill in the newcomer questionnaire. Stick around and enjoy the forum

Of course Mr Dogg will agree there's a GK crisis at AFC!
But Lehmann did the business the last time it counted (FA final), and Senderos is surely the new Tony Adams?

lol, re-read my post. I did not agree that there was a crises at Arsenal and was very careful about the words I chose, as I knew that one of you lot would bring up the final. I am to outnumbered to dig myself into something like that.

Have now re-read your post, and apologise for putting Gooners' worries on your shoulders!
But why are there so few Man U supporters posting?
Can they see the inevitable, or have they choked to death on their prawn sandwiches (or are Chelski's served on better plates?

I'd be alright with Jens as number one for another season (reluctantly), but it's the lack of backup that worries me. Almunia is clearly an idiot. I hope we at least sign some decent second choice guy.

But Almunia was, apparently, brilliant in his last season in Spain.
Apart from that stupid goal in the Carling at OT, maybe he'd have looked ok?

Funny you should say that. I was in a desperate state yesterday, and ended up posting on Manchester United forums, pleading for them to join up to even out the numbers lmao.

Unfortunately, they must have seen me as a pittiful excuse of a man, and ignored my post completely. MAKES ME SICK!!!

He's a good shot-stopper, yeah, but he is retarded at dealing with crosses. I just don't like him. Never looked convincing.

Just to go back to the original quote....
The problem is Lehmann comes out from his box too much (i think he banged his head coz he keeps switching to midfielder mode!!)

When he has good days they are great, and he made sum superb save in the Champions Lge this year but hes just not consistant enough to play for a high class team like Arsenal! I think we'll be stuck with him for another season tho as once Wenger places trust in someone thats it, they tend to stay!

Hey O Dogg, i think they are all just one or 2 people using lots of usernames. Very Happy
I wouldnt put it past a gooner!

I think you need someone other than Lehmann this year, look at Liverpool, Reina is gonna pay off huge i reckon. I'm definitely gonna have a couple of Liverpool defenders in my fantasy football team this season.

It all depends whether Cuducini is happy at Chelsea being the number two . They have two top class keepers and would they risk selling Cuducini to one of their main rivals , that is if Arsene Wenger was
interested in him.

I think if they sold him, it would be to someone outside the premiership.
