A fee has been agreed of around 14m for the sale of patrick vieira, all that is left is for him to agree terms with juventus. He will be missed im sure by all Arsenal fans but i wish him luck for the future he is a legend at Arsenal and a great player,we now need to go out a find an excellent replacement with the money we recieve im sure wengers has summin up his sleeve,we can cope with out him just like we did last season but this will be a big loss.

One of our greatest ever players. Probably the best midfield player to ever grace the Premiership, but not such a fine captain, it must be said.

He has wanted away for some time now, and perhaps selling him was the best choice. I'd certainly say we've had the best of him as a player and this was our last chance to make some money out of him. I doubt Wenger would get rid of such a valuable player if he didn't believe he was replaceable.

Anyway, hopefully we can remember him for the years of comitted performances and some great goald and, of course, his last kick in an Arsenal shirt, probably his most important kick of all, to win us the FA Cup.

Absolute legend. He will be missed.

As a United fan, I am glad to see him go - which must say good things about him. He is a very talented midfielder, and still a great player. I would agree with the above, that you have had the best out of him, and I agree also it was time to cash in on him.

Players like that however are not easy to replace. They do not grow on trees, so Wenger is going to have his work cut out for him.

that will probably be the best way to remember him , his last contribution for Arsenal was scoring the winning penalty in the FA Cup final . Not a bad way to go is it !

Vieira is an Arsenal legend. He is a great player, but he had a really poor season last season and Fabregas and Gilberto is the best partnership. It was a good time to sell him, but it's annoying that we could have sold him last summer and got 25 million for him.

The fee he went for was slightly annoying but he will be missed as he had such a huge influence on the team mentally, we can do just as well with out him as no-one is irreplacable.

A great player he had some fantastic years at Arsenal.

It will be difficult, but I don't think Wenger would've agreed to the sale if he didn't have something up his sleeve. I have faith that he knows what to do. Maybe now Baptista will be possible as we have some extra cash.

Am I right in saying that the sale will be paying in 3 installments?

7m now, 3m next year, and 3m the year after?
